Rei Lem (b. 1991, NYC) is a mixed media artist, specializing in printmaking and sign painting. Her work is a reflection of a hyper-real consumerist society, where the explosion of information leads to the implosion of reality (simulation). Appropriation and satire are key components to her re-presentation of a world where not all things can be taken seriously.
